A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Your name is Otus. You come from a long lineage of shapeshifters. You were bestowed the ability to transform into a Great horned owl by a supernatural wooden mask which has been in your family for generations. You wake up one morning to find that your parents have mysteriously gone missing, with no clue to their whereabouts. It's up to you to venture and find them.

UNMASKED is a narrative driven platformer inspired by titles like Little Nightmares, Hollow Knight, Undertale, and Dadish. It is the first game created by 17 year old aspiring game developer Jackson Bryant, with some help from friends and family.

Really liking this game! Just a few points of feedback would be maybe upping the volume of the music a bit more in the levels, since it's very quiet and the level feels a little empty without it (music can play a big part in a level's atmosphere). I'd also maybe put a button prompt in front of Mr Mosley to let the player know Enter is the talk button (or have it in the tutorial at the start), since I spent a good while pressing literally every button on my keyboard to figure out how to talk. Also in the cave level the cave ambience cuts out after a few seconds and the regular soft music that plays in Levels 1 and 2 starts, so maybe making the cave ambience loop during Level 3 would be good. Just me as well but a checkpoint system might be nice too, however you wanna implement it

Overall I like this game so far; graphics look good, love the shapeshifting idea (will it be possible to discover other masks so that you can shapeshift into multiple things depending on what you have equipped?), and I love werm lol

Coming along really nicely! So cool to finally see a playable version of the game for now!

Glad you liked it! About to push out an update fixing most of those things. The cave ambience thing was accidental lol, just forgot to set it to loop in the settings.

this game a a lot of potential , i loved the idea of shapeshifting and the layout but it needs more details and sounds to create a rich atmosphere, the story is good and werm is the best.
